- This episode is intended to be shown before "Plaza Prom" and "Second First Date" as Colewort and Potato knew each other and dated in those episodes.
- This episode is intended to be shown before "Stop Attacking the Plaza" and "Rad Likes Robots" as Darrell and Shannon got along with Raymond as they did not from "Sibling Rivalry".
- Colewort's steam was first shown in "Just Be a Pebble" and as of this episode explains why he sprays.
- Flashbacks from this episode are shown in "Let's Not Be Skeletons".

- This episode is a reference to the Hanna-Barbera show Laff-A-Lympics.
- Raymond's entrance pose while coming out of his rose marks similarly to Capitoline Venus' trademark pose.

- In one scene while Mr. Gar is giving a speech, Joe Cuppa's head is discolored as brown.
- In Raymond's close up scene, right before he starts his part of the race, his tank top is absent.
