Keith David Williams, known professionally as Keith David, is a comedian, singer, and voice actor who is known for his roles in Platoon, John Carpenter's The Thing, Crash, Armageddon, There's Something About Mary, Barbershop, and Disney's The Princess and The Frog, and Amphibia.
Also best known as Goliath in Gargoyles, The President in Rick and Morty, Spawn in the titular series, Mongul in Young Justice, and Husker from Hazbin Hotel.
He provided the voice-over narration for Crinkly Wrinkly in the episode "Legends of Mr. Gar".
Early Life[]
David was born in Harlem and raised in Corona, Queens, both in New York City. His mother, Dolores, was a manager at New York Telephone, and his father, Lester Williams, worked as a director of payroll operations.
He initially intended to become an actor after playing the Cowardly Lion in a school production of The Wizard of Oz and went on to study at Manhattan's High School of Performing Arts. He attended the Juilliard School's Drama Division (1975–1979, Group 8) where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1979.
